GUITAR SPEED TRAINER
Think of how u walk and how u run...
when u walk u always hv either one or both feet on the ground
when u run u are eigher on one foot, or u r off the ground altogether
the points is: running is NOT fast walking. Running and walking are different process
For example, if u try to walk faster and faster u will reach a limit, and if u want to move faster than that u must stop walking and start running.
Now something similar happens with fast guitar picking
Slow and fast picking are different processes.
if u simply take a generic picking motion and try to speed it up, u will soon come to a limit -- just like the limit of how fast u can walk.
if u want to play faster than that, u must make certain changes -- stop walking and start running.
a lot of guitarists are frustrated because they cannot cross this barrier...
u must understand: if u want to build speed you can not just speed up whatever you are doing, u need to make certain changes in your picking motion....
